These are the terms for using KilnSchedule. It is a free tool. By using it, you agree to what is set out here. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

The tool is free and provided as-is

KilnSchedule is free to use. We provide it as-is and as-available, without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not promise the site will always be up, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. We may change, pause, or retire any part of it at any time.

Schedules are estimates, not professional advice

The firing schedules, cone temperatures, ramp rates, holds, and other output you get from this site are estimates and guidance only. They are a starting point, not a guarantee, and they are not professional, trade, or safety advice. A kiln ages, a thermocouple drifts, and clays and glazes differ, so check every schedule against your own kiln, your clay or glaze maker's instructions, and a fired witness cone before you rely on it. You are responsible for any decision you make using the output, and for verifying it first.

Acceptable use

Use the site for your own lawful purposes. Do not try to break, overload, scrape in bulk, or interfere with the site or the servers behind it. Do not use it to do anything illegal, to harm others, or to send spam or abusive messages through the contact form. We may block access if you do.

Intellectual property

The design, text, code, and branding of KilnSchedule are ours and are protected by copyright and other rights. You may use the tool and print or save the schedules and PDFs it generates for your own use, including normal personal or studio use. You may not copy the site itself, rebrand it, or pass it off as your own.

Third-party links and services

The site may link to other websites and may show ads served by third parties. We do not control those sites or ads and are not responsible for their content or their practices. Following a link or an ad is at your own risk, and their terms and privacy policies apply once you leave.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or from relying on its output. That includes a ruined firing, cracked or warped ware, an under or over-fired glaze, lost time, wasted materials, or lost profit. Because the tool is free and the schedules are estimates, you use it at your own risk. Nothing here removes a liability that cannot be excluded under the law that applies to you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date at the top of this page. If you keep using the site after a change, that counts as accepting the updated terms.
